Olena Kazimirchuk, a dance instructor, said, “It was a really wonderful show. I’m impressed in a good way, especially the music, the orchestra, the technique, and how many times they spin. That’s really amazing. This is the highest level of performance, and I cannot compare with anything else. It’s unique.”
Evie Hein, an account manager, said, “How graceful they are in their dance moves, and agile, and their ability to do a lot of different movements that look very complicated and difficult.”
Kamelia Amirghahari, a financial advisor, said, “We always want to keep our culture, because they were so invaluable for our people to keep going with what we learned from our ancestors, and telling our kids what we had and what we want to have, and continue [with] respect and culture and family and everything. I believe that’s a great thing to continue. We don’t want to forget them, because we are part of those ones.”
Ms. Hein said, “It just gives you a picture into the culture and to some of the beliefs and things that we’re not necessarily familiar with so it’s always interesting to learn about other cultures.”
Ms. Hein said, “I think it really gives a good picture of what their belief systems are and just how important it is to keep traditions alive from a culture when it’s not allowed to flourish or be actually extinguished altogether. I think it’s a really terrible thing to not be able to celebrate one’s culture over thousands of years. So it’s wonderful to see that they are still able to preserve that through this dance performance.”
Ms. Kazimirchuk said, “Sometimes we might not believe in that; sometimes evil is near, but you are connected. If you believe, if you follow that good way, it supports you. And even some moments when the bad side, the people sometimes choose the wrong side, at some point they will look to the light, to the bright side, to the good one. So, a very good message of the performance in general.”
Ms. Hein said, “Thank you so much for putting so much hard work in and doing an incredible job of expressing a culture and the dance and such a beautiful way for their dedication.”
