Shen Yun is based in New York and its artists are trained in classical Chinese dance. The dance form requires not only flexibility and strength but also inner peace and discipline.
Ms. Galey expressed how impressed she was with “the precision. The work behind it, the dedication to the work, the colors, the splendor.”
“I am so grateful that we can always reconcile in humanity through art,” she said.
‘Very Inspiring, Very Beautiful’
Eylene Heller and Nikolas Schneuwly, a financial advisor, were also in the audience for this evening’s performance.Ms. Heller agreed, adding, “Yes, definitely, the values. There was definitely a strong influence of lightness and of joy and that is something that we perhaps sometimes forget to live in our everyday life.”
“The song text was very, very inspiring, very beautiful. Insofar that I could see myself very much in it, for example, that the earthly thoughts block the access to the divine,” said Mr. Schneuwly.
“That was very appropriate because I always notice that this thinking often prevents us from simply going into the heart and becoming more connected with each other and the divine.”
