Shen Yun Performing Arts is the world’s premier classical Chinese dance and music company, established in New York in 2006. It performs “classical Chinese dance, ethnic and folk dance, and story-based dance, with orchestral accompaniment and solo performers,” Shen Yun website explains. “For 5,000 years, divine culture flourished in the land of China. Through breathtaking music and dance, Shen Yun is reviving this glorious culture.”

“I was deeply touched [by Shen Yun performance] every time,” the conductor continued.

“Shen Yun is an artistic performance blending traditional culture, music, and dance,” he explained. “In the meantime, it interprets traditional culture, through music popular among modern people as well as legendary and contemporary stories, to let all the people gain further insight into it.”

Kang Manho spoke highly of Shen Yun’s promotion of the essence of authentic traditional Chinese culture by touring the world every year.

“[Shen Yun] demonstrates [authentic] Chinese culture on stages around the world,” he added. “Its level of artistic achievement is very high.”

“The performance also let modern people understand ancient people’s lifestyles,” he noted. “I think it really very wonderful.”
