SAN ANTONIO—Lila Cockrell Theatre was packed for the second time Sunday, April 14, as Shen Yun Performing Arts performed its second sold-out show in San Antonio, Texas.

Watching New York-based Shen Yun, interior design firm president John Tall felt there was more to Chinese culture than he knew.

Mr. Tall said he saw spiritual elements of the culture in the performance that were “beautifully done.”

“Colors were fabulous, great dancers, beautiful setting,” he added. “It’s very exciting.”

Mr. Tall attended the performance with friends, as it was author Courtney Burkholdel who got the tickets.

“I have always been intrigued with the Chinese culture and was very excited to see the show,” Ms. Burkholdel said.

“I was intrigued with the words the tenor [Guan Guimin] sang,” Ms. Burkholdel said, noting the spirituality of the culture, as Mr. Tall did.

“Everything has been beautiful, the movement, the music, the dances, has all made us a wonderful experience,” Ms. Burkholdel said.
