John Stanley Snorsky, a suspect in the kidnapping of an 8-year-old girl from her bedroom in Aurora, Colorado, has been arrested.
John Snorsky, 26, has been charged with first and second degree burglary and second degree kidnapping, Aurora police said on Friday night.
Police officers were called to a home in the 1600 block of Hanover Street very early Monday morning and after an attempted kidnapping--the girl managed to escape while screaming when the man took her to an alley behind the home and was trying to put her into his car.
Police believe the suspect remove a screen and opened an unlocked window before grabbing the girl, reported the Denver Post.
The arrest of Snorsky happened on Tuesday morning, and he has remained in jail since then, the Aurora Police Department disclosed.
“The Aurora Police Department arrived at probable cause to charge him with the kidnapping today. An Adams County arrest warrant for the kidnapping was signed this evening,” it said.
