A school bus crashed in Boone County, Indiana, on Interstate 65, according to reports on Thursday.
The Lafayette School Corporation bus crashed near the Whitestown exit on I-65, WLFI-TV reported.
WISH-TV reported that nine people were injured in the incident.
“I believe (the bus) has some special students with special needs that are transported to Indianapolis with a day program and were headed back,” Lafayette school Superintendent Les Huddle told The Indianapolis Star.
Indiana State Police officers are responding to the crash, while county officials are seeking additional emergency responders.
Troopers say the injuries are not serious.
The accident took place at around 2 p.m. near the 128 mile marker, according to WISH.
