Girls lift tractor off dad: Two teenage girls in Oregon lifted a 3,000-pound tractor that overturned and trapped their father.

Jeff Smith of Lebanon, Ore., was attempting to rip out a stump from his garden earlier this week when his boot slipped off the clutch and the tractor flipped over, pinning his chest underneath it, reported NBC News.

He screamed for help, prompting his 14-year-old daughter, Hannah, and his 16-year-old daughter, Haylee, to try and rescue him.

They were able to lift up the tractor just enough to free his torso, giving him some space to breathe.

“It’s amazing. You hear about this kind of stuff — this adrenaline rush, being able to pick cars up and slide people out,” Smith told NBC affiliate KWG TV after the incident. “You never realize it’s really there until you actually witness it.”

The Albany Democrat-Herald reported that the girls also called 911. A neighbor heard the commotion and brought over his tractor to help free Smith.

Smith was later taken to the hospital and was treated for a broken wrist and other injuries.

“If these two hadn’t have been here to hear me,” Smith said. “They saved my life.”

Hannah told the paper that she felt an adrenaline rush when she lifted the tractor off her father.
