The National Rifle Association (NRA) has banned and removed a target that resembles a bleeding President Barack Obama, according to a report.
BuzzFeed, which first reported on the matter, said that Zombie Industries, which sells life-sized zombie targets, took down the purported Obama mannequin at an NRA convention in Houston.
“Someone from the NRA came by and asked us to remove it” worker with Zombie Industries told BuzzFeed. “They thought it looked too much like President Obama.”
The worker played coy when asked whether the mannequin, named “Rocky,” resembled Obama. “Let’s just say I gave my Republican father one for Christmas,” the worker said.
“They are just scared some liberal reporter will come by and start [complaining],” said another booth worker.
The company’s website says that Rocky was a “fighter from Detroit.”
“Zombie Industries realizes that the Zombie virus can affect any living creature regardless of race, gender, religion, or species; which is why we do not discriminate in our product selection,” it says.
