Impatient cop pulls gun: An off-duty cop apparently couldn’t handle the wait at a Georgia McDonald’s, so he pulled a gun on another customer, according to reports this week.

Scott Biumi, a detective sergeant with the DeKalb County Police Department, was in the drive-thru lane when he got angry with the truck in front of him.

Forsyth County Sheriff’s Major Rick Doyle told WSB-TV that Biumi, 48, pulled out his service weapon and yelled curse words at them. He put his head, shoulders, and the gun he was holding through the truck’s window and yelled at the men inside.

Biumi was driving an unmarked police car and was wearing normal clothes in the incident.

“It appears that he had a severe break in judgment,” Forsyth County Sheriff Duane K. Piper told the Forsyth News. “It appears that the entire situation evolved from him being angry at the time it was taking for him to get his food.”

Ryan Marsch, 18, said Biumi put his hand on his shoulder and “pulled the gun and put it, pointed it at, like, my neck area,” according to 11 Alive television.

According to a sheriff’s report, he yelled at Marsch that “you don’t know who you are [dealing] with,” according to the Forsyth News.

“This flies in the face of decency and police professionalism and you can quote me on that!” Ken Vance, the Executive Director of Georgia’s Peace Officer Standards and Training Council, told 11 Alive. “His certification will be suspended immediately.”

Biumi was jailed on Wednesday and his bond was set at $22,000. His court date is set for May 23.
