Southern California is bracing for a wet Easter weekend. Rainfall is expected both Saturday and Sunday with a chance for severe thunderstorms, hail, strong winds, and even tornadoes.

The rain could start late Friday in Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego counties, but most of the precipitation is predicted for Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. Lighter showers were forecast for Sunday.

Easter events throughout the region have already been canceled. For example, The city of Pasadena canceled Saturday’s Egg Bowl and Bunny Brunch, Santa Anita canceled weekend racing and egg hunts, the City of Huntington Beach canceled its Easter Hunt Family Fun Day, and Garden Grove canceled Eggscavation.

Nonetheless, other events still have a green light, with some even making adjustments to accommodate for the coming wet weather. As of Friday afternoon, the following events have yet to be canceled.
